RXMARINE CHEMICAL TAG::
Description::
Application::
Phosphotungstic acid is used in histology as a component for staining of cell specimens, often together with haematoxylin as PTAH. It binds to fibrin, collagen, and fibres of connective tissues, and replaces the anions of dyes from these materials, selectively decoloring them.
Technical Specifications::
Dose::
In aqueous solution, phosphoric acid behaves as a triprotic acid, having three ionizable hydrogen atoms. an extremely weak acid. Salts of phosphoric acid can be formed by replacing one, two or three of the hydrogen ions.

Useful Area::
Related Information::
Phosphoric acid is stronger than acetic acid, so it is ionized to a greater extent. Acetic acid is stronger than carbonic acid, and so on.
