Short Description::
Long Description::
Nickel(II) carbonate describes one or a mixture of inorganic compounds containing nickel and carbonate. ... All are paramagnetic green solids containing Ni2+ cations. The basic carbonate is an intermediate in the hydrometallurgical purification of nickel from its ores and is used in electroplating of nickel.
Application::
Nickel carbonate is used to prepare nickel catalysts and several specialty compounds of nickel. It also is used as a neutralizing agent in nickel plating solutions. Other applications are in coloring glass and in the manufacture of ceramic pigments.
Dose::
They are nickel powder, nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, nickel carbonate, and nickel ... At 0.75 mg/kg doses
Note::
Carbonate precipitation of nickel in pellet reactors has several advantages over the more commonly used hydroxide sludge process. As a seeded precipitation, no sludge is formed; instead, there is a dense precipitate permitting easy solid−liquid separation and reuse of the nickel by dissolving the pellets
