Short Description
Short Description
This concentration of ethylene glycol EG, most commonly a mixture with water used as a heat transfer fluid or antifreeze
Product Description

Ethylene Glycol also known as ethane 1 2 diol has a transparent odorless slightly viscous appearance and a pleasant flavor Ethylene Glycol is widely used to lower the freezing point of water used in car radiators

Application
Ethylene glycol 30 likely refers to a 30% concentration of ethylene glycol (EG), most commonly a mixture with water used as a heat transfer fluid or antifreeze. This concentration has a boiling point of approximately 104.4 degree C (220 degree F)) and is a common mix for applications like ultrasound test objects due to its consistent acoustic properties across a range of temperatures. It can also be sold in pure or diluted forms in various package sizes, such as 30 kg containers or 100-liter barrels.
Note
Note
Key properties and uses of 30% ethylene glycol solutions :::
Boiling Point: A 30% solution has a boiling point of around 104.4 degree C (220 degree F)), which is higher than pure water.
Antifreeze/Anti-boil: Like other EG concentrations, a 30% solution can be used to prevent freezing and boiling in cooling systems.
Acoustic Properties: A mixture of 30% ethylene glycol and water has been found to be an excellent standard for ultrasound testing, maintaining a consistent acoustic velocity of 1638 m/sec over a wide temperature range.
Reserve Alkalinity: Solutions in the 30% to 40% range typically have a Reserve Alkalinity (RA) of 4.5 to 6.0 ml, which indicates the fluid's resistance to becoming acidic over time.
Availability: It is commercially available in various concentrations and packaging sizes, including 30 kg drums and 100-liter barrels, with different grades like reagent grade.
