RESORCINOL AR
It is used as an antiseptic and disinfectant in topical pharmaceutical products in the treatment of skin disorders and infections such as acne, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, corns, calluses, and warts. It exerts a keratolytic activity. Resorcinol works by helping to remove hard, scaly, or roughened skin.
Doses of finasteride for HS range from 1.25 to 5 mg per day
At about 74º C. ordinary resorcinol (α-resorcinol) undergoes a transformation into a denser crystalline modification, called β-resorcinol (Ubbelohde and Robertson 1937), and a comparison of these two structures is of considerable general interest for the problem of intermolecular bonding in hydroxylic compounds.
