Oily deposits in steam boilers are a result of oil contamination of the feed water. Most often, the source of the oil is some part of the condensate and return system.
Fuel oil and cargo oils may contaminate the condensate via leaks in the oil heaters or tank heating coils. Lubricating oils may be picked up from steam driven machinery.
Oil deposits can be removed from boilers, L.P. steam generators, etc., by circulating a 2-5% solution of Heavy Duty Cleaner (Emulsifier) through the equipment. Heavy Duty Cleaner (Emulsifier) should never be used as an on-line cleaner. All cleaning should be done off-line.
For maximum cleaning efficiency, the cleaning mixture should be heated to 50° - 60°C (122° - 140° F) and maintained at this temperature during the cleaning operation. If adequate heat is not available, effective cleaning can be accomplished at temperatures as low as 25° C (77° F) using additional time. Carbonized oil or coke may require a two-step cleaning process using FOTTM fuel oil treatment followed by Heavy Duty Cleaner.

I understand that tetra Sodium EDTA is being used in Thermal Desalination and Boiler cleanings in water treatment area. We need cleaning chemicals to remove scales from MED Desalination Effect Tubes in UAE water treatment plants. Do you have reference for Tetra sodium EDTA usage as cleaning chemicals in Multi Effect Distillation (MED) Desalination units. Thorugh email I observed that this is common problem and can be rectified in following 2 steps :::
1st of all clean complete tubes by using our Polymer based descaler, Then after removal of scale water should be treated by using Antiscalant, This will helps to minimize further scaling on tubes. Continious uses of Antiscalant helps to avoid regular maintenance and down time of plant due to SCALE formation, and also increase efficiency of Desalination production rate.

We are a HDPE pipe manufacturer and we are using many heat exchanger coils. Due to the water hardness of our chilled water system, scales deposits are accumulating in our heat exchanger coil and sometimes blocking it. In this regard, may I ask if you can supply descaling liquid to clean the deposits in our coils during preventive maintenance of our machines.

Dear Sir,
1.Biosol cleaner RXSOL-20-2019-025 contians oil soluble formula it doesn't effect Titanium plate and Nitrile gasket.
2.Descalex Polymer (RXSOL-40-1048-025) is derivative form or ACIDIC polymer, it doesn't react with Titanium metal and Nitrile gasket
3.Recirculation is best option to clean heat exchanger, And if volume is 2797 litres on the sea water side means same or aditional 30% volume tank required to circulate the liquid. And required percentage of Biosol is 5 - 10 % of total liquid volume which means 100 to 150 Ltr BIOSOL is more then suffiecient to circulate in this case to clean as contaminatied with heavy oil. And after circulation of BIOSOL, remove all contaminated water from heat exchanger and tank. Then take other sea water / fresh water to dose Descaler Polymer, Its dose ratio is completely depends on deposition of scale inside the plate of heat exchanger. The solid mass of mineral deposits approximate mass calculation will help to use proper volume of RXSOL-40-1048-025 Descaler. As per gallon in concentrated form of RXSOL-40-1048-025 has the ability to dissolve approximately 1.5kg of scale mass So 3 to 20 percent of total volume depending on deposition of scaling materials required. 150 Ltr to 600 Ltr descalex polymer can be use to clean scale deposits. After use of RXSOL-40-1048-025 a 0.5% solution of Alkalinity Control infresh water should be used for neutralization.
